"Majid" magazine is the most widespread and oldest magazine directed at children in the Arab world. The magazine, published by Abu Dhabi Media since February 28, 1979, was chosen after the name of the famous Emirati sailor Shihab Al-Din Ahmed bin Majid, one of the sons of Ras Al Khaimah (formerly Julfar).
Zahrat Al Khaleej is a pioneering magazine for Arab women, published by Abu Dhabi Media.
National Geographic Al Arabiya magazine, published by Abu Dhabi Media, is the Arabic version of the international magazine that was established in 1888. Launched in October 2010, the Arab publication offers readers inspiring scientific content on the world, and all that it encompasses. In addition to features from the magazine’s international edition, the National Geographic Al Arabiya team at Abu Dhabi Media also develops regional content to suit audiences in the Arab world. With its growing popularity, it covers a range of topics that include geography, archeology, natural science, wildlife, astronomy, history, culture and adventure, and promotes environmental and historical conservation, alongside award-winning and historical photographs.
About the author: Amal Al-Sahlawi is an Emirati poet from the Emirate of Sharjah. She writes classical and free Arabic poetry. Amal studied Arabic language literature at the University of Sharjah. She has a poetry publication titled I Had to Post You. Through her poems, Amal participated in many cultural events and important poetry forums at the level of the Arab world and the world. She also published a number of her texts and articles in newspapers and magazines. Amal always seeks to present contemporary feminist and philosophical issues in the form of classical and modern poetry, and she always hopes, through her poetic and prose texts, to touch the concerns of contemporary man and tell his story. Her poem The Wonders of Age was sung at the Metropolitan Museum of New York as part of the Living Art series in the museum's Moroccan foyer.
